This idea of bike share and rental must stay private, as even the best systems are losing money and require constant infusion of bikes and eventually fold... No city money should be used, but perhaps allowing rental Companies at key locations to lease city property at a very low rate could at least give the idea a boost...The City does not need to get in the bike business. It would fail and give cycling a black eye. Anyway with all the millions of bikes in this city , rental seems a big waste of time.
