The current model of painting bike lanes onto major roads that are outfitted for car traffic is not ideal for either cars or bikes. Why don't we close some of the many streets that duplicate car routes and turn them into a separate Bike-dominant network?

People who live on those streets can still access their driveways, but those streets would become primarily bike oriented. Bikers can ride at their own pace and breath fresh clean air!
