It currently takes 3 hours per day to commute 40 miles round trip to and from work - Burbank to Santa Monica. The 134/101 Ventura do not have carpool lanes from Burbank. The 405 South interchange does not have a carpool lane opening until Skirball. I recommend that a diamond lane be moved up to help alleviate the traffic in that area and that the entrance be placed at 405 South at the Sepulveda on ramp instead of/or in addition to the existing Skirball opening that is further down about 2 miles. The traffic updates during the week every morning/night are the same. Heavy traffic. Help. We are willing to carpool but right now it's impossible to get to the Westside. Getting home will be a different post. Right now there are no carpool lanes on the 405N/101S/134Pasadena freeways. My recommendation will save 1 1/2 hour of commute time per week, save gas and make me super happy!
