Coordinate traffic flow between cars and buses

Often traffic is slowed when buses need to pull in and out of stops. Correspondingly, buses are slowed by having to wait to merge with traffic. For example, the Culver City #6 bus stops along Wilshire near Veteran then has to make its ways through 4 (or more) lanes of heavy traffic to get in the left turn lane to Sepulveda. Rethinking the location of bus stops, making bus stops outside the lanes of traffic (as had occurred on section of Santa Monica Blvd.), and reviewing bus routes would all be helpful.
