Expo Light Rail will build train bridges at Venice/Robertson, National Boulevard, Sepulveda, Sawtelle, Pico/Gateway and Barrington. Allowing bikeways on the bridges would eliminate conflicts between bicycles and cars and would enhance and encourage bicycle travel along the corridor. It would create a bicycle highway alongside the train so bikers could avoid the Westside gridlock, especially at the 405 freeway. That's what Denver is doing with FasTracks. On a grander scale, the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Bridge over the Willamette River will serve light rail trains, pedestrians, cyclists, and in the future, Portland Streetcar.
