Getting Around Grid Lock

Back in the day sound walls were only up behind houses. As one traveled down a street paralleling a freeway, one could look at the freeway at the intersections and decide to get on or stay off. Today, many freeways have sound walls on the intersection as well. I suggest replacing the cement blocks that are at tire level with a see-through block (plastic or glass) so the movement - or non-movement - of the freeway can be seen and a decision can be made to stay on surface streets or not. Yes, smartphones do this, gps devices do this, but it's not safe to be looking down at your little phone and not everyone can afford a gps device.

Thank you.
