I have had several dangerous and unsettling experiences at dark, unpopulated bus stops. Better lights and indicators about when the next bus will be coming - sometimes 45 minutes away on my route! - will make it safer for everyone. I've also had to step out into the street and flag buses like a taxi because they can't see me waiting!
