Drunk driving is a major problem in many cities, and it seems to be even more popular in LA than elsewhere. A lot of this could be fixed if there were easy public transit options at major nightlife destinations (Sunset Strip, West Hollywood, Downtown, etc.) There currently is good public transit access to many of these destinations in the daytime, but if there were just two or three additional buses on each line right at 2 am (or whenever last call is) and perhaps one additional Metro Rail at this hour, things would be much better. If people didn't drive to and from bars, it would both cut down on drunk driving, and also help make evening parking much easier.
