Hollywood Blvd should almost never be closed during rush hour. Hollywood and Highland is one of the busiest intersections in the entire city on a daily basis. Traffic is backed up for miles and adds 30 to 60 minutes to the commute. Permits to close Hollywood Blvd should be granted very sparingly because the time, delay and inconvenience caused to tens of thousands of residents, businesses and commuters can not be worth the money that the city earns from this.
