Although this may not be directed at the City, someone should disallow CalTrans from closing the end of the 105 Fwy every other weekend for filming. What right does CalTrans have to allow permitted closures of freeways for private gain, when the freeways were paid for with public funds? This closure right beside LAX on the weekends impacts the whole area. Imperial Hwy comes to a standstill E/B because the first ramp open to enter the freeway is on Imperial east of Aviation. 30-minute back-ups are regularly experienced along Imperial Hwy every time this happens. What a pain in the nalgas. |
