My idea is to remove the carpool lanes from freeways. Before you judge consider this, the idea might have started out via good intentions, sharing cars is a good idea conservation wise. HOWEVER, the theoretical idea does not match the reality of the situation. The freeway is not meant to move more people quickly, it is meant to move more car tonnage quickly. Which is where the carpool lane idea went astray. At all times all lanes should be maximized to their full potential. The current system takes lanes out of play when they are most needed during LA rush hours. That's my idea, send hate mail if you want.
