Metro stations along Cahuenga Blvd North and South might alleviate commuter traffic to and from the 101 Freeway. This will only work if there is sufficient train/Metro service in the Valley as well. Bus service will not do for this commuter situation.
Also, I do NOT see any need to build high density along these proposed Metro stations. The point of more Metro stations is to move people to and from their existing residences, not to build false mixed use density along the transit lines. Most people in Los Angeles do NOT want to live in mixed use housing along a transit system. Stop wasting taxpayer money for those ill-planned projects. I've lived just outside of the city of London, which has a wonderful underground train system, and it works just fine without "mixed use" housing built around it. I'd park my car at the small station near us, then take the train into the city. Works great. That's what we need here in L.A.
