Green Street is a ~2 mile long West-to-East one-way street that parallels Colorado on the South. It is mostly tree-lined making it one of the most pleasant streets to walk in Pasadena- especially along the stretch in Old Town. The trees along the Old Town Pasadena blocks are perpetually decorated with lights, which provides for a beautiful night and festival-season stroll. There are beautiful buildings along the street (such as Castle Green). In Old Town it is sublimely lively and with a more mature population of people compared to the crowd on the street over. There are a number of good restaurants and bars, which constitute for a bit off-the-path and so are more intimate than you find on Colorado. In the Playhouse district there are still more intimate and excellent restaurants to visit. As a walker I really appreciate this street because it has a non-intrusive traffic feel. Perhaps it is because the traffic is only in one direction and the lights are timed for easy traffic flow. Or it could be the trees, but regardless, it never seems as chaotic as the surrounding streets. As a particular bonus, at least along some parts of the street, the crosswalk lights default to allow crossing when the traffic lights change, so you do not need to trigger them with a button (kudos to the engineer that considered pedestrians in their traffic flow timing algorithms!). Finally, the crosswalk lights are long enough to allow for a reasonable crossing time.
