Repave most of the street due to numerous potholes (around Crenshaw-Arlington, Western-Normandie, Vermont-Figueroa, Main-San Pedro Street, and Central-Compton).

Improve traffic signal syncing across problem areas. Vernon at Alameda needs to be prioritized for more traffic signal time because it is currently on 20 seconds for both east and westbound Vernon traffic and should be extended for at least 45 seconds on both sides with better synchronization at the location. I usually have to wait 3 signal cycles (about 5-7 minutes) just to get through the bottleneck.

At Long Beach Ave, traffic signals at Vernon should be 4-head signals (red, yellow, green, green arrow) because too many large trucks turn at Long Beach during rush hour, especially when you have a narrow street and train tracks at the intersection.

At Avalon, there should be protected/permissive traffic signals due to an increased number of cars turning (mainly on EB side). At the stretch between Main and San Pedro St, there should be more traffic signal time allotted to improve corridor.

At the stretch between Broadway and Vermont (especially on westbound side), traffic should be improved during rush hour and on weekends because there are too many cars clogging the street. Reversible lanes would be a good idea and more anti-gridlock zones should be implemented on weekends and rush hour times, or prohibit parking altogether and build a parking structure at Menlo and Vernon (there's an empty lot that can be used for residential parking with the use of a residential permit limited to one or two cars per household).
