Wilshire is one of the most heavily trafficked streets on the West side. Two lanes under the 405 is insufficient and creates an arterial clog, but relatively few cars turn North (left) from Eastbound Wilshire to Sepulveda. So every morning and evening traffic backs up from Sepulveda to Federal, and often beyond. So cars go into the left lane and sneak/merge right as late as possible. Why not make that left lane into a Left OR Straight lane? |
